BINNINGUP BEACH
Renowned for its reef that runs parallel to the main swimming beach. This provides a safe and protected area for swimming, snorkelling, diving or a paddle on your SUP and explore the reef on a clear day. The long sandy beaches are also beautiful for winter strolls and playing in the sand.
There is also a grassed area with sheltered BBQs and a childrens pirate ship playground. Here you can enjoy a picnic lunch or enjoy a BBQ dinner and watch the sun set as the kids play.
BINNINGUP GENERAL STORE
Binningups General Store is located at the end of Coronation Drive, 100m from the main swimming beach. The store is open 7 days a week (except christmas day),Winter – 7;30am-6:30pm, Summer – 7:30am-7:00pm. The store sells all the necessities you may require on your holiday including – general grocery items, fruit and vegetables, alcohol, fuel, fishing gear and bait, ice, takeaway food, DVD’s, newsagent, post office and has a air compressor for your tyres.
SPORTS AND PLAY
Binningups sports oval is a great place for kids of all ages. On the oval you’ll find footy posts to have a kick, a cricket pitch and nets to practice your swing, a much enjoyed skate park and a playground with gazebo seating and undercover BBQ’s. But if tennis is your thing, the fenced courts are located near the Binningup General Store which looks after the keys for the courts.
BINNINGUP BOWLS AND COUNTRY CLUB
Come on down and mix with some of the locals for a game of bowls.
The Country Club is open Friday nights from 4:00pm for affordable, family friendly meals (dine in or takeaway), or just head on down for a drink and a game of pool.
9 HOLE GOLF COURSE
Binningups beautiful golf course is set in natural bushland surrounded by it’s local flora and fauna which continues to the beach dunes where you’ll get some great ocean views. The course is however closed every saturday from 11:15am-3:30pm for competitions but new members are welcome. So head down early and share the course with the local kangaroos.
4WD ACCESS
Binningup has to two 4×4 beach accesses. One is located at the south end of the main beach carpark which you can follow along the beach all the way to the north side of the Bunbury cut. There is also 4×4 access at the north end of Wescoast Drive which will take you all the way up to Myalup. Weather permitting.
FISHING
At the main beach Binningup has its natural beach boat ramp with channel that leads out through the reef for you to set out on your next fishing or diving adventure. You will need your 4×4 to launch here.
Alternatively throw a line in off the beach and try your hand at catching a tailor, yellowfin whiting, herring, flathead or a salmon. The fishing here is excellent.
